Spoonbill Fishing

A couple of Spoonbills were wondering around the pond at Bryan Beach on one of my recent trips.  Took the opportunity to get some shots of them fishing.  My usual Spoonbill photos aren’t water shots so this was a nice change of pace.  The shape of the bills work very well for fishing along the bottom of the pond.  My first photos of them actually catching fish.

  2. Sweet shots here Tim. I’ve got a few dragonfly shots like that 1st one too (where they are over or near a bird’s head). You don’t even see them in the shot until processing them later on the computer.

Eye action and connection with the camera on the last one is pretty cool.

  7. Some killer shots. The dragon fly is a nice touch catching it in the focal plain. Like them all but #2 tugs on me a little more. Good job.
