Standing Alone
This Willet was hanging out by himself near one of the sand bars at Bolivar Flats. Some side lighting and nice depth of field helped to make him stand out.

Looking good Tim. Next weeks tides are real good. Now if only the weather and wind behaves. The low perspective is always good.

Thanks David. I’ll be taking advantage of the low tides as much as possible this month. Went again last weekend but it was too windy with no birds in site so I turned around and went home.

Interestingly, I like that second photo better with that awkward look back. The advantages of getting low (and likely wet) are powerful.

Thanks Lyle. I like the second one as well. It definitely pays to get down low. It’s literally a pain in the neck but well worth it.
